Back with a brand new look, Barnsley Christmas Market brings festive cheer to The Glass Works Square from Saturday 29th November to Sunday 21st December 2025. More than 30 twinkling chalets will offer handcrafted gifts, mouth-watering treats and global street food.

See the town all lit up for Bright Nights

Barnsley truly shines during Bright Nights, and you can catch it from Friday 21st to Saturday 22nd November 2025. Follow a dazzling trail of 12 interactive installations and performances across town, with venues including The Alhambra, Barnsley Civic, Cooper Gallery and more.
Don’t miss Supernova, a constellation of giant illuminated stars shining bright in The Glass Works Square. Created by Studio Vertigo, these incredible sculptures are making their UK debut right here in Barnsley, after wowing crowds across the globe in Sydney. Over at Barnsley College, the Dancing Fountain brings a spectacular fusion of water, light and music to life.
