On the first floor, boho-style treatment rooms offer everything from Indian head massages to muscle-toning body masks. Oliver, the co-owner, is a trained podiatrist. Unsurprisingly, the Foot Spa Therapy will have you walking on air.

Escapism starts the moment you step inside Harrogate’s Grade II-listed Turkish Baths. Far more than just a massage, this unique spa invites you to wind down the Victorian way – surrounded by Italian mosaic and intricate Islamic arches.
The treatments are similarly impressive. From a gently exfoliating Himalayan salt massage to a body wrap rich with Tuscan thermal waters, this is relaxation on an international scale. There’s a reason why it has stood the test of time.

Tucked away inside The Phoenix Lounge beauty salon, The Ottoman Rooms is an oasis of calm just minutes from Harrogate railway station. Founder, Sam, is an all-round therapist and her massages are hard to beat.
After working in luxury hotels around the world, Sam draws from top international practices. There’s bamboo cane massage to knead your knots into oblivion, plus a Bali-inspired dancing hands massage.
