You can’t go wrong with a meal out at one of these fantastic Sheffield restaurants.

Foodies in Sheffield have more than their fair share of fantastic eateries to choose from. The city is jam-packed with great restaurants, from fine dining to world fusion, cosy pub kitchens to authentic Italian bistros, there’s something to suit every palate. We’ve put together a breakdown of all our favourite places to eat out in Sheffield city center and in the suburbs, so you’ll have a smoother time deciding when you’re next in search of good grub.

The best restaurants in Sheffield City Centre

Mama’s and Leonies

Mama’s and Leonies has been serving excellent Italian fare to the people of Sheffield since 1968, so it’s safe to say that it’s a bit of an institution amongst locals. But there’s more to their stellar reputation than longevity alone, not only will you not spend more than £20 on a single dish, but everything is cooked to order, so whether you’re getting a brunch ciabatta or a steak dinner, you’re guaranteed fresh food made with the finest organic ingredients.

Guyshi BBQ

For fans of authentic Japanese cuisine, Guyshi is a must-visit restaurant in Sheffield. They were the first to do traditional Japanese charcoal BBQ in the Steel City, and in our humble opinion, they do it the best. Arrive hungry and take advantage of their all-you-can-eat offering, or opt for a sushi and sake feast instead. Whatever you decide you’ll have the joy of cooking your meat and vegetables on your tabletop sichirin grill, imported all the way from Japan.

Where? 180 West Street, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S1 4ET.
Standout dish: The Wagyu steak melts in your mouth.
